When I decided to become a Realtor, I told myself that I wanted to do it differently. I wanted to do it in such a way that honored the values instilled in me by my parents as a child. I wanted to give back.
As a kid growing up in Southern Vermont, my parents were highly involved and committed to our community and those surrounding. My Dad was an enthusiastic coach for many school sports teams and sat on multiple school boards throughout the years. My Mom is a long time Rotarian and has been involved with United Way, as well as many other local organizations. I have always been inspired by their passion and generosity, and I realize the positive impact they have had on their community.
Now as a Realtor, I know that I am in a unique situation where I work directly with people in my community (Newburyport) and the surrounding communities. I know that I can not only make a contribution, but I can involve my clients in that contribution. That is why I decided to give 5% of my commission, whether a client works with me as a buyer or seller, to the charity of that clients choice. If a client does not have a particular charity in mind, I will make the donation to The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society, one that is very close to my heart. They are a non-profit, no kill, volunteer driven cat rescue & spay/neuter organization based in Salisbury, MA.
So when you are making the decision on which Realtor best suits your needs, I ask that you consider my services and consider joining me in paying it forward!
